The GUHRING 9006520023500 is a jobber length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in light metals, plastics, and general-purpose materials. Built from high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved surface hardness and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The bit measures 2.35 mm (0.0925 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 2-3/32 inches and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The 130-degree split point reduces walking at entry and lowers thrust requirements. This is a high-performance, Series 652 tool manufactured to DIN 338 standards and suited to CNC and manual drill press applications.
This drill bit is rated primarily for aluminum and non-ferrous metals, as well as select plastics and soft steels within workpiece material codes K, N, and P. The parabolic flute with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper drilling cycles with reduced chip packing. Maximum drilling depth is 0.92 inches (23.48 mm). The straight-cylindrical shank (0.0925 inches) seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet systems without adapters, making it a practical choice for production line drilling, precision fabrication, and tool room work.
Designed as an OEM-specification replacement or direct-use jobber drill conforming to DIN 338 standards, compatible with any standard drill press, CNC machining center, or hand drill equipped with a chuck or collet system sized for a 0.0925-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with cutting tool setup. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speeds and feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping, coating wear, or dimensional drift is observed.
