The GUHRING 9006520019800 is a high speed steel (HSS) jobber-length drill bit with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, designed for productive drilling in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. Built to DIN 338 standards, it measures 5/64 inch (0.0781 inches) in diameter with a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry for improved chip evacuation and reduced thrust. Overall length is 1-15/16 inches (1.9375 inches). The web-thinned, tapered web construction reduces entry resistance, making this bit well suited for high-volume production and maintenance drilling applications.
This drill bit is intended for right-hand cutting and fits straight-shank chucks on benchtop drill presses, handheld drills, and CNC machining centers. The parabolic flute profile supports a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, allowing efficient chip clearing in deeper holes up to a maximum drilling depth of 0.828 inches. Series 652 is a heavy-duty grade designation within the GUHRING lineup, built for shops and tradespeople who require consistent dimensional accuracy across repeated use. It is appropriate for drilling steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpieces in light fabrication, HVAC, and mechanical service environments.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank drill chucks. Suitable for drilling steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials per DIN 338 specification. Compatible workpiece material codes K, N, and P as defined by the supplier attribute data.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or trade technician familiar with drill press or power tool operation. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and confirm the chuck is tightened to prevent bit walk. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use a cutting fluid applied externally when drilling ferrous materials to manage heat. Follow all applicable shop safety practices and machine-specific operating procedures when setting spindle speed for small-diameter bits.
