The GUHRING 9006510065300 is a jobber-length twist drill bit sized Letter F (0.2570 inches diameter), ground to a 118-degree standard point angle and finished with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating. Built from M2 high speed steel, it delivers consistent cutting performance across general-purpose metalworking applications. The TiN coating extends tool life by reducing friction and surface wear at the cutting edge. With an overall length of 3.9764 inches and a flute length of 2.4803 inches, it fits standard drill chucks and benchtop or handheld drilling equipment used daily in trade shops and on job sites. This bit is manufactured to DIN 338 specification, a widely recognized standard for jobber-length drills.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron and steel, including structural steel components, fabricated parts, and ferrous workpieces encountered in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades. The regular spiral flute and web-thinned, tapered web design promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce thrust requirements in those materials. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard three-jaw chucks without adapters. It is appropriate for use in drill presses, CNC drilling operations, or hand drills where a jobber-length bit is specified.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit per DIN 338, compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel. Not designed for coolant-through applications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists, tradespeople, or trained shop personnel familiar with drilling operations. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and ensure the shank is fully seated and locked in the chuck. Select spindle speed appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter following standard machinist speed-and-feed tables. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace the bit if chipping, wear, or coating breakdown is evident.
