The GUHRING 9006220084000 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding shop and field applications. Built to DIN 338 standards, it features a 8.4 mm (0.3307 inch) straight-cylindrical shank diameter, a 130-degree drill point angle, and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced heat buildup. The bright, uncoated cobalt construction provides inherent heat resistance, making it well-suited for tough or work-hardening materials. Licensed trades including machinists and industrial maintenance technicians rely on this bit for consistent, accurate hole production in production and MRO environments.
This drill bit is designed for right-hand cutting in a range of workpiece materials, with primary suitability for aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and general-purpose ferrous stock (material codes K, N, P). The parabolic flute with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper hole drilling with reduced pecking cycles. Its overall length of 4-39/64 inches (117 mm) and flute length of 2-61/64 inches (75 mm) fit standard drill chucks and CNC toolholding. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces entry force and improves centering on initiation. This bit is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed as an OEM-grade replacement or direct application drill bit for use in standard drill chucks, CNC machining centers, and benchtop drill presses accepting straight-cylindrical shanks. Primary workpiece material codes K, N, and P indicate suitability for aluminum, non-ferrous materials, and general steels.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly secured before initiating drilling operations. Verify chuck and collet runout is within acceptable limits to preserve dimensional tolerance, rated at -0.022 to 0.000 mm. Observe standard cutting speeds and feeds for cobalt tooling when working with the specified workpiece materials.
