The GUHRING 9006220055600 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance metal drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built to DIN 338 standards, this bit features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) diameter with a 130-degree drill point angle optimized for fast, accurate entry into a wide range of workpiece materials. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life. The straight-cylindrical shank provides a secure grip in standard drill chucks. With a bright, uncoated finish and cobalt construction, this bit delivers durability and consistent performance in production and maintenance drilling environments.
This bit is suited for drilling aluminum and a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes K, N, and P. The 2-flute parabolic design with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it well suited for deep-hole applications in sheet metal, structural components, and general fabrication work. It is appropriate for use by machinists, pipefitters, ironworkers, HVAC sheet metal technicians, and electricians requiring precision hole sizing in metal stock. The right-hand cut and web-thinned tip reduce thrust and improve hole quality on the entry stroke.
Designed as a DIN 338 jobber length replacement bit for applications requiring a 7/32 inch cobalt drill in Series 622 tooling. Compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks accepting 7/32 inch shanks.
Install in a properly sized drill chuck and tighten securely before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before drilling. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling steel or harder alloys to reduce heat and extend bit life. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
