The GUHRING 9006220027000 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit built for demanding metal-cutting applications. It measures 2.7 mm (0.1063 inches) in diameter with a 130-degree drill point angle and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting resistance. The overall length is 61 mm (approximately 2.4 inches), with a flute length of 33 mm (approximately 1.3 inches) and a maximum drilling depth of 28.95 mm (approximately 1.14 inches). The straight-cylindrical shank is held to an h8 diameter tolerance, ensuring consistent seating in standard drill chucks. This bit is manufactured to DIN 338 standards and carries a bright, uncoated finish suited for general-purpose drilling.
This drill bit is designed for use in light to medium production environments where consistent hole quality in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics is required. The parabolic flute profile and web-thinned point reduce thrust force and improve chip flow, making it well suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools operating on aluminum and similar workpieces coded K, N, and P under standard workpiece material classifications. Right-hand cut geometry is compatible with standard clockwise-rotating spindles. This is a single-piece unit, sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose jobber drill in the GUHRING Series 622 line, suitable for drilling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics in standard drill chucks accepting a 2.7 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians securing the bit in a drill chuck or collet rated for 2.7 mm shank diameters. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the bit. Verify chuck runout before production runs to maintain hole-diameter tolerance. No coolant-through capability is present on this tool, so external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied at the cutting zone when drilling at elevated feed and speed rates.
