The GUHRING 9006220019500 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in a range of materials. Built to DIN 338 standards, this bit features a 1.95 mm (0.0768 inch) diameter, a 130-degree drill point angle, and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced heat buildup. The bright, uncoated finish preserves the cobalt substrate for applications where coating-induced dimensional changes are a concern. With an overall length of 49.00 mm (1-15/16 inches) and a flute length of 24.00 mm (15/16 inch), it is sized for general-purpose production drilling. Right-hand cut with a straight-cylindrical shank, it fits standard drill chucks without adapters.
This bit is suited for drilling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and a range of plastic and composite workpiece materials, consistent with its K, N, and P material group ratings per DIN classification. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports controlled depth drilling up to 21.08 mm (0.830 inch) maximum drilling depth. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces entry force, making it well suited for production environments where consistent hole quality in smaller-diameter applications is required. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks accepting a 0.0768 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for use in aluminum (K), non-ferrous (N), and plastic/composite (P) workpiece material groups per DIN classification.
Installation and use of this drill bit is performed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance tradespeople using standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand drills with appropriate chuck capacity. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out before changing bits. Verify chuck jaw condition and concentricity before seating the shank to avoid runout that can cause premature bit failure at this diameter. Cutting speeds and feeds should follow published guidelines for cobalt drill bits in the specific workpiece material being drilled.
