The GUHRING 9006090091000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards, it features a 9.1 mm (0.3583 inch) diameter with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating that extends tool life and reduces friction during operation. The bit uses a three-flute spiral configuration with a web-thinned, tapered web design, which improves chip evacuation and reduces thrust force at the cutting tip. The 150-degree drill point angle suits harder materials and helps maintain hole accuracy. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and precision fabricators working with high-hardness materials or tight-tolerance bores are the primary users of this drill geometry.
This drill bit is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual precision drilling operations where dimensional accuracy and hole finish are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank provides positive chuck engagement in standard keyless and keyed drill chucks. The TiN coating makes it appropriate for drilling through alloy steels, hardened materials, cast iron, and similar ferrous workpiece materials. The submicron carbide grade provides wear resistance in high-cycle production environments. No coolant-through capability is included, so external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied where required by the material or feed rate.
Designed as a jobber-length carbide drill bit conforming to DIN 6539 for use in standard straight-cylindrical chuck systems across CNC and manual drilling equipment in the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm drill size range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle and chuck are fully powered down and at a complete stop before inserting or removing the bit. Verify chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance before use, as carbide tooling is sensitive to lateral loading and can fracture under eccentric conditions. Apply appropriate cutting fluid or coolant externally during operation when drilling ferrous or hardened materials to manage heat at the cutting edge.
