The GUHRING 9006090035700 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built to DIN 6539 standards, this bit features a 150-degree point angle for self-centering entry and a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. The three-flute spiral design with web-thinned, tapered web geometry improves chip evacuation and cutting efficiency. At 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch decimal) in diameter, this bit is suited for accurate small-diameter work where carbide rigidity outperforms high-speed steel. Licensed tradespeople and precision machinists are the primary installers.
This drill bit is used in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance applications requiring consistent, tight-tolerance bores. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks without adapters. With a flute length of 1-1/16 inches and an overall length of 2-3/64 inches, it fits conventional drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to 0.852 inch (21.65 mm) in a single pass without through-coolant. Series 609 submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and edge retention needed for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 9/64 inch straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills.
Installation is performed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, or qualified maintenance tradespeople. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid lateral loading, interrupted cuts without proper setup, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Ensure spindle speed and feed rate match the workpiece material to prevent premature edge failure.
