Built to DIN 6539 standards, this 3 mm (0.1181 inch) diameter bit features a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating that extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. The 150-degree drill point angle and web-thinned, tapered web configuration promote self-centering entry and cleaner hole initiation without a center punch. With a submicron carbide grade and three-flute spiral design, the bit delivers improved chip evacuation and higher feed rates compared to standard two-flute geometry. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators are the primary installers of this bit in CNC and manual drilling operations.
This bit is suited for drilling small-diameter, close-tolerance holes in hard materials including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.
