The GUHRING 9006050033500 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 338 standards from M35 cobalt steel with a bright uncoated finish, this bit delivers the heat resistance and edge retention required when working titanium alloys and other tough workpiece materials. It features a 130-degree split point for self-centering entry without a center punch, a web-thinned tapered web for reduced thrust, and a regular spiral flute with right-hand cut. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, aerospace MRO technicians, and industrial maintenance trades are the primary installers of this tooling.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling applications where dimensional accuracy and tool life in difficult alloys are priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3.35 mm in diameter, making it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems sized for that shank. It carries a Primary Workpiece Material Code of M and S, indicating suitability for stainless steels and titanium alloys in addition to general steel applications. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, it is optimized for chip evacuation in deeper hole profiles typical of structural and precision machining work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for use in any drill chuck or collet system accepting a 3.35 mm straight-cylindrical shank, in applications requiring DIN 338 jobber length cobalt drill bits.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians using a drill press, CNC machining center, or hand-held power drill with an appropriate chuck or collet. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Power down and de-energize all equipment before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of approximately 30.98 mm to avoid chip packing and premature tool failure.
