The GUHRING 9006050031700 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 338 standards, this Series 605 bit features a 130-degree split point for self-centering entry and a web-thinned tip to reduce thrust and walking on hard surfaces. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. With a 1/8 inch diameter and a 65 mm overall length, this bit is a compact but capable tool suited for machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with titanium alloys, stainless, and other difficult-to-machine materials.
This drill bit is intended for use in metal fabrication, aerospace component work, and industrial maintenance applications where standard HSS bits wear prematurely. The 1/8 inch diameter and 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it appropriate for drilling precise, shallow to moderate-depth holes in titanium alloy and similar high-strength workpiece materials. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks without adapters, and the bright uncoated finish allows for easy visual wear inspection during use.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber length drill bit suitable for use with standard drill chucks and CNC drilling equipment accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material classification is M and S, covering titanium alloys and similar high-strength materials per DIN material group designations.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with metalworking equipment and safe drilling practices. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized drill chuck before operation, and verify chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance for precision work. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 1.23 inches without retracting to clear chips. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain hole quality.
