The GUHRING 9006050011900 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and demanding materials. Built to DIN 338 standards, it features a 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch) diameter with a 130-degree split point that reduces walking and improves self-centering on entry. The spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation, and the web-thinned, tapered web design lowers thrust requirements. With a bright/uncoated finish and right-hand cut, this bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling tasks where tool life and hole accuracy matter. It is typically installed by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians working with high-strength alloys.
This drill bit is rated for use in titanium alloy (material code M and S workpieces per ISO classification), making it appropriate for aerospace, medical device, and precision manufacturing applications where standard HSS tooling is inadequate. The straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks without adapters. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD and a maximum drilling depth of 0.56 inch (14.22 mm), it is well suited for short, precise through-holes and centering operations in hard stock. Series 605 designation places it within the GUHRING cobalt jobber product line built for high-temperature alloy work.
Designed for use in titanium alloy and other high-strength workpiece materials (ISO material groups M and S). Straight-cylindrical shank fits standard keyed and keyless drill chucks sized for 3/64 inch shanks. Conforms to DIN 338 jobber-length standards.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians using standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand-held power drills with compatible chucks. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation to prevent runout. When drilling titanium alloy, use appropriate cutting fluid and controlled feed rates to avoid work hardening at the cutting edge. Inspect the cutting edges for wear before each use, as cobalt bits in hard materials can chip rather than dull gradually.
