The GUHRING 9006050007500 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 338 standards, this Series 605 drill features a 0.75 mm diameter, a 130-degree split point for self-centering entry, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The M35 cobalt steel construction provides heat resistance and edge retention well beyond standard HSS tooling. With a bright/uncoated finish and right-hand spiral flute geometry, this drill is suited for machinists, tool and die shops, and precision fabrication environments where tight tolerances and difficult alloys are the norm.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in titanium alloy and similarly demanding workpiece materials, classified under material grades M and S. The 0.75 mm diameter falls within the 0.00 to 2.00 mm size range of the Series 605 lineup. The straight-cylindrical shank with a shank diameter of 0.75 mm fits standard precision collet chucks and drill press spindles sized for micro-diameter tooling. Typical applications include aerospace component drilling, medical device fabrication, and precision instrument manufacturing where small-diameter, high-strength alloys are common.
Designed as a DIN 338 jobber-length replacement drill for precision collet systems and drill chucks accepting 0.75 mm straight-cylindrical shanks; compatible with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand drills equipped for micro-diameter tooling in titanium alloy (M and S material grade) applications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with micro-diameter tooling practices. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a precision collet or keyless chuck rated for the spindle speed appropriate to the workpiece material and diameter. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 7.88 mm (0.31 inches) in a single pass without retracting to clear chips. Apply external cutting fluid or mist coolant to extend tool life and prevent thermal damage when drilling titanium alloy or similarly heat-retentive materials.
