The GUHRING 9006050006400 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 72, measuring 0.0250 inches in diameter. Built to DIN 338 standards, this Series 605 drill features a 130-degree split point and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that promotes self-centering on entry and reduces thrust load. The M35 cobalt steel construction provides the heat and wear resistance required when cutting stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. The bright, uncoated finish is suited to applications where coating buildup or contamination is a concern. This tool is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals working with difficult-to-machine materials.
This drill is designed for precision work in stainless steel and high-temperature alloys, where standard HSS tooling loses edge integrity quickly. With an overall length of 1.0236 inches and a flute length of 0.3150 inches, the 9006050006400 is appropriate for shallow-depth applications with a maximum drilling depth of 0.2800 inches. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks found on benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power tools. The regular spiral flute configuration promotes chip evacuation in right-hand cutting operations. It ships in a quantity of one per package with a minimum order of 10 units.
Designed for use in stainless steel and high-temperature alloy workpieces per primary workpiece material codes M and S. Fits standard straight-shank drill chucks accepting a 0.0252-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with small-diameter precision drilling. Ensure the drill press or machining center spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling stainless steel or high-temp alloys to manage heat buildup and protect the cutting edge. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 0.2800 inches for this flute-length-to-diameter ratio.
