The GUHRING 9005350063500 is a Series 535 taper length drill bit sized at Letter E (0.2500 inches, 1/4 inch) with a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright/uncoated finish, it is designed for production drilling in metals and alloys where a longer reach than a jobber-length bit is required. The parabolic flute profile improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during extended drilling cycles. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals use this bit in drill presses, CNC machines, and manual drilling operations where depth and precision are critical.
This taper length drill bit is suited for drilling aluminum alloy, cast iron, and steel in both job-shop and production environments. The 10xD flute-to-diameter ratio and taper length body give it the reach needed for through-holes and deeper bores that standard jobber-length bits cannot access. It is a right-hand cut tool with a cylindrical (straight) shank, making it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. Typical applications include structural fabrication, maintenance repair, and precision machining where hole depth and chip clearance are primary concerns.
Designed for use in drilling aluminum alloy, cast iron, and steel. Fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) cylindrical shank. Conforms to DIN 340 dimensional standards.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before beginning a cut. Always power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Follow applicable machine guarding requirements and use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to maximize tool life.
