The GUHRING 9005350032000 is a taper length twist drill bit designed for precision hole-making in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built to DIN 340 specification, it features a 0.1260-inch (3.20 mm) diameter with a parabolic flute geometry that improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during extended drilling cycles. The 130-degree split point starts cleanly without a center punch and is web-thinned to reduce thrust requirements. At 4.172 inches overall length with a 2.719-inch flute, this bit is suited for drilling deeper holes than a jobber-length bit allows. It is sold individually and is installed by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and maintenance technicians working on precision metal components.
This drill bit is rated for use in aluminum alloy, cast iron, and steel. The parabolic flute profile and 10xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it well suited for through-holes and deeper blind holes where standard jobber bits fall short. The bright, uncoated high speed steel construction works across general-purpose shop and production environments without requiring specialty tool holders. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press, CNC, and hand-held power tool setups. No coolant-through capability means this bit is used with external cutting fluid application where lubrication is needed for harder materials.
Rated for drilling aluminum alloy, cast iron, and steel. Cylindrical shank diameter of 0.1260 inches fits standard 3-jaw drill chucks on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians using standard drill chuck tooling. Secure the workpiece fully before drilling and confirm chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance to avoid bit deflection at small diameters. Apply cutting fluid externally when drilling cast iron or steel to extend tool life and maintain dimensional accuracy. Inspect the cutting edges before each use; at 0.1260-inch diameter, the bit is susceptible to breakage if run at incorrect feed rates or in a worn chuck.
