The GUHRING 9005300110000 is a jobber-length twist drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in ferrous materials. Built from PM-ASP-60 powdered metal (high-speed steel), it carries a FIREX coating for improved heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The drill measures 0.4331 inches in diameter with a 130-degree split-point cone relief tip, a parabolic flute geometry, and an overall length of 5-19/32 inches. The parabolic flute profile promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing built-up edge and heat in demanding applications. This is a professional-grade cutting tool intended for use by machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians in production and MRO environments.
The 9005300110000 is designed for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces, including both mild and alloy steel grades. The 130-degree point angle and web-thinned, tapered web configuration make it well-suited for initiating holes without a center punch in most shop setups. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard three-jaw drill chucks and collet systems. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD and a maximum drilling depth of 3.051 inches, it handles through-holes and deep spot drilling across a wide range of fixtures and machine tools, including drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills used in structural and maintenance work.
Designed for use in cast iron and steel workpieces per DIN 338 Series 530 standards. Primary workpiece material codes K and P cover gray cast iron and carbon and alloy steels. Compatible with any machine tool or hand-held drill accepting a 0.4331-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
This drill bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians in standard three-jaw chucks or collet holders rated for the shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the chuck is securely tightened before beginning any operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling steel to manage heat, as this bit does not feature through-coolant capability. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace if the FIREX coating is worn through at the tip.
