The GUHRING 9005300051600 is a jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from PM-ASP-60 powdered metal, it carries a FIREX coating that extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and surface wear. The drill features a 130-degree cone relief point angle, a parabolic flute geometry, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. At 3-3/8 inches overall length with a 2-1/16-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and machine spindles. Cutting direction is right hand. This bit is sold individually and is sized at 13/64 inches (0.2031 inches decimal) with a straight-cylindrical shank of matching diameter.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in cast iron and steel, covering primary workpiece material codes K and P. It performs well in machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools where consistent hole geometry and chip control are required. The parabolic flute profile supports a 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio, making it appropriate for moderate-depth holes up to a maximum drilling depth of approximately 1.743 inches. Licensed machinists, toolroom technicians, and industrial maintenance mechanics are the typical installers and operators of this tooling.
Designed as a DIN 338 Series 530 jobber length drill bit compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks. Intended for use in cast iron and steel workpieces as indicated by primary workpiece material codes K and P.
This bit is installed and operated by machinists or maintenance technicians using standard drill press, CNC, or hand-held drilling equipment. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Disengage and de-energize all equipment before changing tooling. No coolant-through capability; apply external cutting fluid appropriate for the workpiece material when drilling ferrous metals at higher feed and speed rates.
