The GUHRING 9005300015000 is a jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from PM-ASP-60 powdered metal and finished with a FIREX coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and heat resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The 130-degree point angle suits cast iron and steel workpieces, and the parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. With a 0.0591 inch diameter, 1-9/16 inch overall length, and a straight-cylindrical shank of equal diameter, it fits standard drill chucks without adapters. A web-thinned, cone-relief point reduces entry force and improves centering accuracy.
This drill bit is suited for machining operations on cast iron and steel in both shop and field environments. It is commonly used by machinists, maintenance mechanics, and tool-and-die tradespeople. The Series 530 designation and DIN 338 specification make it a recognized standard-form bit compatible with production drilling setups, CNC drilling stations, and handheld drill applications where consistent hole quality is required. The maximum drilling depth is 0.62 inches (15.75 mm), making it appropriate for through-holes and shallow blind holes in light to medium stock.
Designed as a DIN 338 standard jobber length drill bit rated for primary workpiece materials cast iron and steel. Suitable for use in any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.0591 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance tradespeople using any standard keyless or keyed drill chuck. Ensure the drill chuck and spindle are fully secured before operation and that workpieces are clamped or fixtured to prevent movement. Cutting speeds and feed rates should follow the tool manufacturer guidelines for PM-ASP-60 tooling on ferrous materials. Do not use on hardened steel or abrasive non-ferrous materials outside the rated workpiece material range.
