The GUHRING 9005020095000 is a Series 502 extra length high-speed steel drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling applications. It carries a 9.5 mm diameter, a 130-degree standard point, and a parabolic flute design that promotes efficient chip evacuation in demanding cuts. Overall length is 250 mm with a flute length of 175 mm, giving a 15xD flute-to-diameter ratio suited for accessing deep features without tool changes. The shank is straight-cylindrical at 0.374 inches diameter, and the bit is web-thinned with a tapered web for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. A nitride finish provides basic surface protection. Cutting direction is right-hand. This bit is intended for professional machine shop and industrial fabrication use.
This drill bit is designed primarily for deep hole drilling in aluminum and similar non-ferrous and low-alloy materials, consistent with its K, N, and P workpiece material classifications. The extra length and parabolic flute geometry make it well suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes where standard-length bits cannot reach depth. Maximum drilling depth is 160.75 mm. The 75 mm shank length provides adequate grip in standard drill chucks and collet systems. It conforms to DIN 1869 specifications, making it appropriate for shops working to metric tooling standards.
Designed as a DIN 1869-conforming extra length drill bit for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.374-inch (9.5 mm) shank diameter. Primary workpiece material classifications are K, N, and P, covering aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and select non-metallic materials.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm chuck or collet runout is within acceptable limits to avoid premature wear on a close-tolerance bit. Follow the machine manufacturer and applicable shop safety guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant when drilling to depth.
