The GUHRING 9003360015000 is a cobalt taper length drill bit with a 0.0591 inch (1.50 mm) diameter, designed for drilling through demanding materials including cast iron, hardened materials, stainless steel, and steel. Built to DIN 340 standards, this bit features a 130-degree point angle and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation during deep-hole drilling operations. The cylindrical shank and web-thinned tip reduce entry force and improve center accuracy. It carries an overall length of 2-3/4 inches (70.00 mm) and a flute length of 1-49/64 inches (45.00 mm). Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and precision fabricators typically specify this bit for production and maintenance drilling in tightly toleranced work.
This bit is suited for use on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines where consistent hole quality in ferrous and hard alloy materials is required. The 10xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for taper-length drilling applications where a longer reach than a jobber bit is needed but a full extra-length bit is unnecessary. It is a solid choice for shops working with stainless steel fabrication, cast iron components, or hardened material stock on a regular basis.
Designed as a DIN 340 taper length drill bit for use in standard cylindrical-shank toolholders, collets, and drill chucks accepting a 0.0591 inch shank. Rated for drilling cast iron, hardened materials, stainless steel, and steel as noted in the manufacturer specifications.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with proper cutting speeds and feeds for cobalt tooling in ferrous materials. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 1.683 inches (42.75 mm) for this bit. Cutting fluid or coolant is recommended when drilling stainless steel or hardened stock to extend tool life, even though this bit does not include through-coolant capability.
