The GUHRING 9003290007500 is a cobalt screw machine length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 1897 standards, this stub-length bit features a 0.75 mm diameter, a 130-degree split point, and an M35 cobalt steel construction that maintains hardness and edge retention at elevated cutting temperatures. The overall length is 23 mm (0.9055 inches) with a 4.50 mm (0.1772 inch) flute length. A web-thinned, tapered web design reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. This bit is suited for machinists, tool and die technicians, and production drilling professionals working in tight-tolerance applications.
This drill bit is rated for use in titanium alloy as its primary workpiece material, making it appropriate for aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing environments where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collets. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry are optimized for stub-length drilling operations where rigidity and hole accuracy take priority over deep-hole chip clearance. Minimum order quantity is 10 units; each unit is packaged individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application stub drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools accepting straight-cylindrical shanks in the 0.00 to 3.50 mm diameter range per DIN 1897 specification.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck or collet is torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification before operation. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for cobalt tooling in titanium alloys, as excessive heat will accelerate edge wear. Inspect the cutting edges before each use; cobalt bits in micro-diameter sizes are susceptible to chipping if dropped or improperly stored.
