The GUHRING 9003050059000 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in ferrous and harder workpiece materials. It measures 5.90 mm in diameter with an overall length of 93.00 mm and a flute length of 57.00 mm. The 118-degree cone relief point provides a conventional cutting geometry suitable for a wide range of materials. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for cobalt-grade tooling and supports use with or without cutting fluid. Web thinning reduces thrust requirements at the cutting center, making starts cleaner on flat and curved surfaces. This bit is used by machinists, maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and general fabricators working with drill presses, CNC machines, or portable power tools.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling applications in metal fabrication shops, mechanical contractors, and industrial service environments. The regular spiral geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard drill chucks and spindles. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate chip evacuation for through-hole drilling at typical jobber depths. It is manufactured to DIN specification, ensuring consistent dimensional tolerances across the cutting diameter and shank.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill for use in standard drill chucks and spindles accepting a 5.90 mm straight shank, suitable for drill presses, CNC drilling centers, and hand-held power tools within the 5.00 mm to 6.00 mm diameter range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the shank fully within the chuck jaws and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the workpiece. De-energize and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not use this bit in reverse rotation or in applications requiring left-hand cutting tools.
