The GUHRING 9003050051100 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 7, equal to 0.2012 inches in diameter. Built to DIN 338 standards, this Series 305 bit features a 118-degree standard point angle and an oxide coating that improves surface hardness and wear resistance in demanding applications. The overall length is 86.00 mm, the flute length is 52.00 mm, and the shank length is 34.00 mm. It uses a straight-cylindrical shank and a regular spiral flute with a tapered, web-thinned core. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and maintenance professionals working with cast iron and steel stock rely on this type of bit for consistent, accurate through-hole work.
This drill bit is designed for general purpose drilling in cast iron and steel workpieces, covering primary material codes K and P. The 118-degree point self-centers on most flat surfaces without requiring a pilot hole under normal conditions. With a maximum drilling depth of 44.34 mm (approximately 1.746 inches) and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, it handles typical jobber-depth holes in production and service environments. It ships individually and is suited for both shop and field use where a compact, reliable cobalt bit is needed.
Designed for general purpose drilling in cast iron and steel. Fits any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.2012-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for use in applications conforming to DIN 338 jobber length requirements.
Install in a drill press, hand drill, or CNC spindle with a chuck rated for the 0.2012-inch shank diameter. Secure the shank fully before operation and verify chuck runout is within acceptable limits to maintain hole accuracy. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before drilling. Cobalt bits tolerate higher cutting speeds than standard HSS, but consult published speeds-and-feeds tables for the specific workpiece material to avoid premature edge wear.
