The GUHRING 9002050027100 is a jobber-length twist drill bit in wire gauge size No. 36 (0.1067 inches decimal equivalent), manufactured from M2 high speed steel with an oxide coating for surface protection and reduced friction. The bit features a 118-degree standard point angle, spiral flute geometry with web thinning for improved chip evacuation, and a straight-cylindrical shank. At 61 mm overall length with a 33 mm flute length, it is sized for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of ferrous workpiece materials. It conforms to DIN 338 specification and is suited for installation in standard drill chucks used in production, maintenance, and field service environments.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron and steel workpieces and is appropriate for general-purpose applications in manufacturing, mechanical service, HVAC installation, plumbing rough-in, and electrical trade work where small-diameter pilot or clearance holes are required. The 2-flute spiral design with a tapered web and regular spiral type supports consistent chip removal in both hand-held and machine drilling operations. Maximum drilling depth is 28.94 mm (approximately 1.14 inches). The bit is sold individually.
Designed as a DIN 338-compliant jobber-length drill bit suitable for use in standard keyed or keyless drill chucks that accept straight-cylindrical shanks in the 2.71 mm range, for general-purpose drilling in steel and cast iron workpieces.
Install and remove drill bits only with the drill motor fully powered down and the chuck key removed from the chuck. Secure the shank fully into the chuck jaws before tightening to prevent slippage under load. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling steel to extend tool life, as this bit does not support through-coolant delivery. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use; a worn or damaged drill bit should be resharpened or replaced before use.
