The GUHRING 9002050025000 is a high speed steel jobber-length drill bit ground to DIN 338 specification. It measures 2.50 mm in diameter with an overall length of 57.00 mm and a flute length of 30.00 mm. The 118-degree standard point angle and web-thinned, tapered web geometry allow for clean entry and reduced thrust on a wide range of workpiece materials. An oxide coating provides basic lubricity and corrosion resistance during drilling operations. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard drill chucks or collet holders without additional adapters. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals rely on this bit for precision small-diameter hole work.
This drill is suited for general-purpose drilling in metal fabrication, maintenance and repair, and light production environments. The right-hand spiral flute with regular helix efficiently evacuates chips during through-hole and blind-hole drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. Its DIN 338 geometry and M2 high speed steel grade make it a standard choice wherever a 2.50 mm hole is required to consistent dimensional tolerance. The bit ships individually and is intended for use in benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills with appropriate chuck capacity.
Designed as a DIN 338 standard jobber drill for use in any drill press, machining center, or hand-held power tool equipped with a chuck or collet capable of holding a 2.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
A licensed machinist or qualified maintenance technician should secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet before beginning any drilling operation. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely and the spindle speed is set appropriately for the material and diameter being drilled. Do not exceed the rated capacity of the chuck or apply side-loading force to the bit, as this can cause breakage at small diameters. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
