The GUHRING 9002050011900 is a high speed steel jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal fabrication and maintenance applications. It features a 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch decimal) diameter with a standard 118-degree point angle and a bright, uncoated finish. The two-flute spiral design with a regular helix provides efficient chip evacuation and consistent cutting performance. The bit is web-thinned with a tapered web configuration, reducing entry resistance on tough materials. Built to DIN 338 specification using M2 high speed steel, this drill is suited for machinists, maintenance techs, and trade professionals who need a reliable small-diameter drill for repetitive production or field use.
This drill bit is intended for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces in light manufacturing, mechanical, and industrial maintenance settings. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks found on bench drills, hand drills, and CNC drilling setups. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 38.00 mm overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth holes in general workshop environments. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and handheld power tool operation.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or stock drill bit compatible with any standard drill chuck accepting a 3/64 inch straight-cylindrical shank, used with cast iron and steel workpieces per DIN 338 Series 205 specification.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade technicians familiar with drilling operations and applicable shop safety standards. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and ensure the chuck is fully tightened on the shank before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling steel to extend tool life and improve hole quality. Inspect the drill point for wear or chipping before each use, particularly at this small diameter.
