The GUHRING 9002050005200 is a jobber length twist drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metalworking applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it measures 0.52 mm in diameter with an overall length of 22 mm and a flute length of 6 mm. The 118-degree standard point angle and two spiral flutes with a regular helix provide efficient chip evacuation and consistent entry geometry. The shank is straight-cylindrical at 0.52 mm diameter, and the web is thinned with a tapered configuration to reduce thrust and improve centering on entry. This bit is sized to DIN 338 specifications and carries a diameter tolerance of +0.000 to -0.010 mm, meeting the precision requirements expected for production and maintenance drilling work.
This drill bit is suited for drilling cast iron and steel in general machining, toolroom, and maintenance repair operations. The Series 205 designation places it in a well-established line of DIN 338 jobber-length drills commonly used on CNC drilling machines, drill presses, and handheld power tools where sub-1 mm precision drilling is required. Maximum drilling depth is 5.22 mm, making it appropriate for shallow through-holes and pilot operations in thin stock and sheet material. It is sold individually but is subject to a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Designed as a DIN 338-compliant jobber length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks accepting straight-cylindrical shanks at 0.52 mm diameter. Suitable for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces as indicated by primary workpiece material codes K and P.
Installation and use should be performed by machinists or qualified trade professionals familiar with small-diameter drill bit handling. Secure the straight shank firmly in a precision drill chuck before operation, as undersized or worn chucks can cause runout that will break bits at this diameter. Power down and de-energize any machine spindle before changing tooling. Follow applicable shop safety and machine guarding standards when operating drilling equipment.
