The GUARDAIR 74GFA is a fan-tip air blow gun designed for industrial and shop compressed-air cleaning and drying applications. Built with a zinc body and zinc nozzle, it delivers a wide, flat airflow pattern at up to 22 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) through a 1/4 NPT female inlet. At 77 decibels, it stays within commonly accepted noise thresholds for many shop environments. Measuring 6.7 inches in overall length and weighing 1.05 pounds, this blow gun is compact enough for continuous handheld use during parts cleaning, chip clearing, and surface drying tasks. It is installed and operated by HVAC technicians, machinists, maintenance mechanics, and shop personnel working with compressed-air systems.
The 74GFA is suited for both light industrial and general maintenance shop environments. Its fan-tip nozzle spreads airflow laterally, making it effective for clearing debris from flat surfaces, cooling components, or blowing out channels and cavities where a pinpoint jet would be inefficient. The operating temperature range of -30 degrees F to 180 degrees F covers typical indoor and unheated shop conditions. It connects directly to standard 1/4 NPT compressed-air lines and quick-connect fittings common in shop plumbing setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct addition to compressed-air systems fitted with standard 1/4 NPT female threaded air supply connections and compatible quick-connect adapters.
Installation is performed by qualified maintenance personnel or compressed-air system operators. Depressurize the air line completely before threading the blow gun onto the supply fitting. Use appropriate thread sealant on the NPT connection and do not overtighten the zinc fittings to avoid cracking. Verify that the supply pressure does not exceed the rated operating limits of the tool before returning the line to service.
