The GRIP-RITE TW16312EAR is a black annealed rebar tie wire designed to secure rebar intersections and anchor rebar to rod chairs and rebar chairs during concrete reinforcement work. Wound at 16 gauge, this wire is pliable enough to twist tightly by hand or with a tie wire reel, holding rebar assemblies firmly in position before and during concrete placement. Each coil weighs 3.5 pounds, giving concrete crew members a manageable spool for sustained work on footings, slabs, walls, and column cages. The annealed finish increases ductility, reducing breakage during the twisting process.
