The GREENLEE 39860 is a 15-piece manual standard punch kit designed for cutting clean, round knockout holes in mild steel panels, enclosures, and junction boxes. The kit covers punch hole diameters from 3/4 inch to 1-1/2 inch and handles material up to 16 gauge mild steel without a hydraulic driver. A 3/8 inch draw stud provides the mechanical advantage to pull each punch through the workpiece. Electricians and industrial maintenance technicians use this kit for conduit entry work and panel fabrication where a powered knockout driver is not available or practical.
This kit is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work, including service panel modifications, enclosure knockouts, and conduit stub-up installations. The manual operating method makes it practical for field use where power tools are not accessible. The included steel storage box keeps punches and dies organized and protected between uses. Punch sizes cover the most common conduit trade sizes in that diameter range, reducing the need for separate tooling purchases on most standard jobs.
Designed for use with standard 3/8 inch draw stud tooling. Kit includes part numbers 113AV, 114AV, 117AV, 118AV, 121AV, 14722, 19193, and 00042 as listed by the manufacturer. Intended for manual knockout applications in 16 gauge or lighter mild steel.
De-energize and lock out all electrical panels or enclosures before cutting knockouts. Drill a pilot hole sized to pass the draw stud through the workpiece before setting the punch and die. A ratchet or appropriately rated wrench is used to drive the draw stud and pull the punch through the material. Follow NEC requirements for conduit fill and knockout sizing when preparing panels or enclosures.
