The GREENFIELD 0389-3-8 is a 3/8 inch galvanized steel ceiling flange designed for securing pipe runs at overhead attachment points. The flange plate provides a 200-pound load capacity, making it suitable for residential, commercial, and light industrial piping systems. Its compact footprint — 2.7 inches long by 1.85 inches wide by 0.45 inches tall — fits tight ceiling and structural-member installations without interfering with adjacent runs. Galvanized construction resists corrosion in damp or moderately humid environments. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of flange when anchoring vertical or near-vertical pipe drops from ceiling decks or structural framing.
This ceiling flange is applicable across a broad range of piping applications where a code-compliant overhead anchor is required. It fits standard 3/8 inch pipe or threaded rod configurations common in residential plumbing rough-ins, light commercial mechanical rooms, and industrial utility lines. The galvanized finish makes it a practical choice in spaces with intermittent moisture exposure, such as basements, crawl spaces, and utility areas. It is part of the Greenfield Manufacturing Co. Clamps, Hangers, Struts and Fasteners product family.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ceiling flange for standard 3/8 inch pipe hanger applications in residential and commercial mechanical systems.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Shut off the relevant system and depressurize the line before attaching or repositioning any hangers. Fasten to structural ceiling members capable of supporting the rated load; avoid attaching to drywall or non-structural substrates. Hanger spacing should conform to applicable IPC or local mechanical code requirements for the pipe material and diameter in use.
