The GREEN LEAF RB 34-18 is a nylon plastic pipe reducer bushing designed to transition between a 3/4-inch male iron pipe thread (MIPT) and a 1/8-inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT). Molded from white nylon, this fitting offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative to metal bushings in low-pressure piping applications. It carries NSF 61 and NSF 372 certifications, making it suitable for use in potable water systems where lead-free compliance is required. Licensed plumbers and experienced installers use this bushing to reduce pipe size within threaded plumbing assemblies.
This reducer bushing fits into threaded plumbing systems where a 3/4-inch pipe must transition down to a 1/8-inch connection. Typical applications include residential and light commercial water supply lines, irrigation manifolds, filtration systems, and other low-pressure fluid handling assemblies where nylon threading performance is acceptable. Its NPT-standard threads allow it to mate with most standard threaded pipe fittings and valves found in these systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for threaded plumbing assemblies using standard NPT connections in residential and light commercial potable water systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing any threaded fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the male threads before assembly and hand-tighten before using a wrench. Do not overtighten nylon fittings, as excessive torque can crack the fitting body.
