The GREEN LEAF M 3400 is a 3/4-inch nylon hex nipple designed for threaded pipe connections in plumbing and fluid-handling systems. Machined from white nylon with male iron pipe thread (MIPT) on both ends, this fitting provides a corrosion-resistant, lightweight alternative to metal hex nipples in applications where chemical compatibility and non-metallic construction matter. The hex body allows standard wrench engagement for secure make-up without over-torquing the nylon material. This fitting is NSF 61 and NSF 372 certified, making it suitable for potable water systems where lead-content compliance is required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and chemical-feed lines.
The M 3400 is used in residential and commercial potable water systems, irrigation distribution, and low-pressure fluid piping where a nylon fitting is preferred over brass or steel. Its MIPT x MIPT configuration makes it a standard double-ended threaded nipple for connecting two female-threaded fittings or valves. The white nylon construction resists rust and mild chemical exposure, making it appropriate for treated water, pool fill lines, and similar applications. A licensed plumber or pipefitter is the typical installer in code-governed work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting for 3/4-inch MIPT threaded pipe assemblies in potable water, irrigation, and light-duty fluid-handling systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in jurisdictions where code requires it. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before assembly. Tighten by hand first, then use a wrench on the hex body — avoid over-torquing nylon fittings, as excessive force can crack the material.
