The GREEN LEAF M 1000 P is a 1-inch polypropylene hex nipple designed for use in threaded pipe systems requiring a reliable male-to-male connection. Constructed from black polypropylene, this fitting features MIPT x MIPT end connections and a hex body for wrench engagement during installation. It carries NSF 61 and NSF 372 certifications, making it suitable for potable water applications where lead-free compliance is required. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting to join or extend threaded pipe runs in both residential and light commercial systems.
This hex nipple is well suited for water distribution, irrigation, and fluid handling systems where polypropylene is preferred for its chemical resistance and lightweight profile. The 1-inch MIPT x MIPT configuration fits standard threaded fittings and valves. It is commonly installed in cold and ambient-temperature water lines, chemical feed systems, and non-pressure-critical fluid transfer applications where metal fittings may cause corrosion or contamination concerns.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 1-inch MIPT threaded pipe systems using standard NPT thread forms in polypropylene-compatible plumbing assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before threading this fitting into place. Apply thread sealant tape or appropriate pipe compound to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-torque polypropylene fittings, as the material is more susceptible to thread damage than metal alternatives.
