The GREE SAP09HP230V1R32AH is a wall-mounted ductless mini split indoor air handler from the Sapphire series, designed for single-zone residential and light commercial heat pump applications. This unit runs on 230-volt power with R-32 refrigerant and delivers 9,000 BTU/h of cooling capacity. The heating output is rated at 10,600 BTU/h at 47 degrees F and 6,700 BTU/h at 17 degrees F, making it suitable for year-round climate control in cold-weather climates. A rotary compressor type is paired with this indoor unit. The SAP09HP230V1R32AH carries an AHRI Certificate number 214802444 and is engineered to meet current efficiency standards. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation of this indoor unit as part of a matched single-zone system.
This wall-mounted air handler is intended for single-zone ductless heat pump installations in residential settings and smaller commercial spaces. It pairs with the SAP09HP230V1R32AO outdoor unit to form a complete Sapphire series system. The unit mounts high on an interior wall to deliver conditioned air across the zone without ductwork. It is well suited for room additions, finished basements, apartments, offices, and other spaces where extending central duct systems is not practical. Installation requires running refrigerant lineset, electrical supply, and condensate drain from the indoor head to the outdoor unit.
The SAP09HP230V1R32AH is the indoor unit component of the GREE Sapphire single-zone heat pump system and is matched with the SAP09HP230V1R32AO outdoor unit. It is designed for use only with its compatible Sapphire series outdoor unit and is not interchangeable with outdoor units from other refrigerant or product lines.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician certified to handle R-32 refrigerant under EPA Section 608 regulations. Power to the circuit must be shut off at the breaker panel before making any electrical connections. The indoor head requires secure wall mounting, proper condensate drainage pitch, and a correctly sized lineset between the indoor and outdoor units. Do not operate the system without verifying refrigerant charge and confirming all electrical connections match the unit nameplate requirements.
