The GOODMAN ar9t800804bn is an 80 AFUE, two-stage, multi-speed ECM gas furnace designed for upflow and horizontal ducted installations. Rated at 80,000 BTU/h high-fire input with 64,000 BTU/h output, it delivers reliable forced-air heating for residential and light commercial applications. The two-stage gas valve reduces low-fire input to 56,000 BTU/h, allowing the unit to match heating demand and improve comfort at part-load conditions. A 3/4 hp multi-speed blower motor supports up to 1,490 CFM airflow at high heat, and the 10-inch by 8-inch blower assembly fits within a 17.5-inch wide cabinet. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit in compliance with applicable mechanical codes.
This furnace is configured for upflow or horizontal installation in ducted residential and multi-family systems, and is sized for up to 4-ton nominal cooling capacity when paired with a matched cooling coil. The 115-volt, single-phase, 60 Hz electrical supply with a 15-amp maximum overcurrent protection makes it suitable for standard residential branch circuits. The cabinet dimensions of 17.5 inches wide, 33.375 inches tall, and 28 inches deep fit common closet, alcove, and attic installations. The Non-NOx burner type meets low-emissions requirements in applicable jurisdictions.
Designed as an OEM upflow and horizontal gas furnace for ducted residential and multi-family forced-air heating systems requiring a 17.5-inch cabinet width and 4-ton nominal cooling coil match.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54), local mechanical codes, and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before servicing or replacing any components. Verify flue venting configuration, combustion air supply, and condensate requirements prior to startup. Do not operate the unit without all access panels secured and ductwork properly connected.
