The GOODMAN amvc961205dn is a 96 AFUE, two-stage, variable-speed upflow and horizontal gas furnace rated at 120,000 BTU/h high-fire input. It uses an ECM variable-speed blower motor and a two-stage convertible gas valve to modulate heating output between low-fire (84,000 BTU/h input) and high-fire, which reduces short cycling and improves comfort in ducted residential systems. The furnace is ENERGY STAR certified and FER compliant. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians in residential or light commercial ducted gas heating applications where a high-efficiency, communicating furnace is specified.
The amvc961205dn is designed for upflow and horizontal installation configurations, making it adaptable to basement, crawlspace, attic, or closet installations. It supports cooling coil matchups from 2 to 5 nominal tons, with a blower capable of moving up to 2,130 cubic feet per minute on high speed. ComfortBridge Technology compatibility allows the unit to communicate with compatible thermostats and system controls. This furnace is produced in the United States and carries an AHRI reference number of 7368875. Compatible accessory components listed in the product reference include CTK04, AFE18-60A, CVENT-2, CVENT-3, HASFK-2, LPLP03, LPM-08, and RF000142.

Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local codes, the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54), and the manufacturer installation manual. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before beginning any service or installation work. Vent sizing must conform to the 2-inch or 3-inch vent diameter specifications and local mechanical code requirements. Minimum clearance to combustible materials is 0.1 feet as rated; verify all clearances before startup.
