The Goodman alxs4ba6010 is a 5-ton, single-stage outdoor condensing unit designed for split air conditioning systems using R-32 refrigerant. Rated at 57,000 BTU/h cooling capacity with a 14.3 SEER2 efficiency rating and an EER2 of 11.2, this unit is built for residential and multi-family cooling applications. It operates on 208/230 volts single-phase power at 60 Hz and uses a scroll compressor with a multi-speed fan motor in a top-discharge cabinet. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as the outdoor half of a matched split system.
The alxs4ba6010 is intended for residential, multi-family, and light commercial cooling-only applications where a non-communicating, single-stage outdoor unit is specified. It carries DOE regional compliance for all regions. The unit ships pre-charged with 94 oz of R-32 refrigerant and supports a standard line set up to 200 feet in length with a maximum vertical rise of 79 feet. Cooling operation is rated across an ambient range of 55 degrees F to 125 degrees F. Compatible accessory and startup components listed in product documentation include ABK-20, ASC01A, CSR-U-1, FSK01A, and LSK02A.
The alxs4ba6010 is a non-communicating outdoor condensing unit in the ALXS4B series, designed for use with a compatible matched indoor coil or air handler in a cooling-only split system configuration. Referenced accessory and startup components include ABK-20, ASC01A, CSR-U-1, FSK01A, and LSK02A. Confirm indoor unit compatibility against Goodman or Amana matched-system documentation before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. Because this unit uses R-32, a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant, technicians must follow applicable safety procedures for A2L refrigerant handling, including use of approved recovery equipment and compliance with local codes governing A2L installations. Verify line set sizing against manufacturer specifications and add refrigerant charge at the published rate of 0.64 lb per foot beyond the factory pre-charged 15-foot equivalent.
