The GOODMAN alxs4ba4810 is a 4-ton, single-stage outdoor split air conditioner rated at 14.3 SEER2 and designed for cooling-only residential, multi-family, and light commercial applications. The unit operates on R-32 refrigerant and delivers a rated cooling capacity of 46,000 BTU/h at a nominal 48,000 BTU/h. Powered by a single-phase, 208/240-volt scroll compressor, it draws a rated load of 19.4 amps and requires a minimum circuit ampacity of 25.2 amps with a maximum overcurrent protection of 40 amps. Manufactured in the United States, this top-discharge condensing unit is intended for installation by licensed HVAC technicians as part of a split system paired with a compatible indoor coil and air handler.
The alxs4ba4810 fits residential and multi-family split system installations where a non-communicating, single-stage outdoor condensing unit is required. It carries DOE regional compliance for all U.S. regions and is compatible with standard line sets up to 200 feet in length with a maximum vertical run of 79 feet. The unit ships pre-charged with 91 oz of R-32 refrigerant, with an additional charge rate of 0.64 lb per foot beyond the standard 15-foot pre-charged line length. Sound output in cooling mode is rated at 72 dBA. The unit is sized for typical residential and multi-family central cooling systems where single-stage operation is appropriate.
Designed as an OEM-style outdoor condensing unit within the ALXS4B series, intended for pairing with a compatible indoor evaporator coil and air handler in a non-communicating split system configuration. Component references listed in product data include ABK-20, ASC01A, CSR-U-1, FSK01A, LAKT01, and LSK02A.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations, as R-32 is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant requiring appropriate handling procedures. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit. Liquid line connection uses a 3/8-inch pipe and valve; suction line uses a 7/8-inch outside-diameter valve with a 1-1/8-inch gas pipe connection. Do not exceed the 200-foot maximum line set length or the 79-foot maximum vertical differential specified for this unit.
