The Goodman acvc960603bn is a 96 AFUE two-stage, variable-speed ECM gas furnace designed for downflow and horizontal installation in ducted residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It delivers 60,000 BTU/h at high-fire input with 57,660 BTU/h output, and steps down to 42,000 BTU/h at low-fire for more efficient part-load operation. The ECM blower motor runs at variable speed up to 1,250 RPM and supports nominal cooling capacity from 1.5 to 3 tons. ComfortBridge Technology communication compatibility allows integration with compatible thermostats and controls. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation, sizing, and commissioning. The unit is ENERGY STAR certified, ANSI certified, ETL Listed, and FER compliant, and is produced in the United States.
This furnace is configured for downflow or horizontal airflow, making it suitable for closet, alcove, and attic installations where upflow is not possible. The 17.5-inch cabinet width fits standard platform and platform-with-filter configurations. With a blower capable of 1,400 CFM at high heat and 1,070 CFM at low heat, it is appropriate for residential systems requiring up to 3 tons of matched cooling capacity. The non-NOx burner configuration meets low-emissions requirements in applicable jurisdictions. The unit accepts a 16x25 filter and uses a 2-inch or 3-inch vent diameter depending on the venting configuration selected at installation.
Compatible accessory and component references from manufacturer data include: 0170K00000S, 0170K00001S, CFSB17, CVENT-2, CVENT-3, EFR02, HASFK-1, LPLP03, and LPM-08. AHRI Reference Number: 7368877. Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before servicing or replacing any components. Venting must be installed per NFPA 54 and applicable local codes using the appropriate 2-inch or 3-inch vent diameter fittings. Minimum clearances to combustible materials must be observed as specified in the installation documentation.
