The unit detects water as shallow as 1/32 inch, triggering a loud 110 dB audible alarm. A built-in battery saver feature extends the life of the single 9-volt battery required for operation. The sensor wire measures 6 feet in length, giving technicians enough reach to drop the probe into a sump pump pit, extend it under a water heater, or mount the main unit on a wall while the sensor reaches the floor below.
