The GLASFLOSS ZLP20202 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter designed for forced-air HVAC systems where reliable particulate capture and low pressure drop matter. Measuring 20 inches x 20 inches x 2 inches with 8.16 square feet of media area, it uses 100% synthetic fiber extended-surface media arranged in a tapered radial pleat configuration at 10 pleats per lineal foot. A galvanized expanded metal backing is laminated to the air-exit side with a thermosetting adhesive, maintaining pleat continuity and resisting rust and corrosion. The heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame is made from post-consumer recycled material and is die-cut as a single piece, with the pleated cartridge bonded directly to the frame interior for a secure, bypass-free seal. Rated for airflow up to 500 FPM.
This filter suits residential and light commercial HVAC applications, including geothermal units, where consistent air quality and system protection are required. Its MERV 10 rating captures a broad range of particulates including dust, pollen, mold spores, and fine debris, making it appropriate for environments with moderate air quality demands. The extended-surface media design supports efficient filtration across a wide range of system configurations without excessive restriction. The filter is Energy Star rated and manufactured in the USA.
Designed for use in geothermal units and compatible with standard forced-air HVAC systems accepting a 20 inches x 20 inches x 2 inches filter. Meets UL 900, ANSI/ASHRAE 52.2, USGBC LEED, HARDI, and NAFA applicable standards.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service professionals. Always power down the air handler or furnace before replacing the filter. Confirm the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow into the system. Inspect the filter housing for bypass gaps and ensure the frame seats flush on all four sides to prevent unfiltered air from entering the system.
