The GLASFLOSS zlp20201 is a 1-inch pleated air filter from the Z-Line Series, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It uses a synthetic fiber media that resists moisture absorption and will not support microbial growth, making it a reliable choice for maintaining indoor air quality. The filter achieves a MERV 10 rating, capturing a broad range of airborne particulates including dust, pollen, mold spores, and fine debris. With an initial resistance of 0.21 inches water gauge (in-WG) and a final resistance of 1 in-WG, airflow impact through the system is kept within acceptable operating limits. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable installers handle routine filter replacement as part of planned maintenance.
The zlp20201 fits standard 20 x 20 x 1 inch nominal filter slots found in forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and packaged HVAC units. Its actual dimensions of 19-1/2 x 19-1/2 x 7/8 inches accommodate the typical tolerance gap in standard filter racks. The 14 pleats per linear foot design increases usable media area to 4.73 square feet, extending service life while maintaining rated airflow at up to 300 feet per minute (fpm). The beverage board frame holds its shape under normal system static pressure and humidity conditions.
Designed as a drop-in replacement for standard 20 x 20 x 1 inch nominal filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and packaged HVAC equipment.
Filter replacement is a routine HVAC maintenance task performed by licensed technicians or qualified service personnel. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the existing filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow in the return air duct or unit cabinet. Follow equipment manufacturer recommendations for replacement intervals, typically every 1 to 3 months depending on site conditions.
