The GLASFLOSS ZLP18252 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter designed for residential and commercial HVAC systems where reliable particulate capture and low energy cost are both priorities. Sized at 18 inches x 25 inches x 2 inches, it delivers 9.02 square feet of 100% synthetic fiber extended-surface media arranged in a tapered radial pleat configuration at 10 pleats per lineal foot. Initial resistance is 0.3 inches WC and final resistance is 1 inch WC at a rated face velocity of 500 FPM. A galvanized expanded metal backing is laminated to the air-exit side with a thermosetting adhesive, maintaining pleat continuity and resisting rust. Installed by HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors, this filter is rated Energy Star and manufactured in the USA.
The ZLP18252 suits a wide range of forced-air applications including geothermal units, standard split systems, and air handlers where a 2-inch filter rack is present. The heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board frame incorporates post-consumer recycled material and is internally laminated to the pleated cartridge apexes, creating a rigid one-piece die-cut assembly that resists blow-by and frame collapse under sustained airflow. This makes it appropriate for both intermittent and continuous-duty systems operating up to 180 degrees F.
Listed for geothermal unit applications per supplier specifications. The 18 inches x 25 inches x 2 inches nominal size fits standard 2-inch filter racks and return-air grilles of the same nominal dimension across a broad range of residential and light-commercial forced-air equipment.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified mechanical contractors. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or breaker before servicing the filter rack. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with system airflow toward the blower. Follow equipment manufacturer service intervals and local mechanical codes; ASHRAE 62.1 and ASHRAE 180 provide general guidance on filter maintenance schedules.
