The GLASFLOSS ZLP18241 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems requiring reliable particulate control in a standard 1-inch filter slot. Measuring 18 inches x 24 inches x 1 inch with 5.2 square feet of media area, this filter uses 100% synthetic fiber extended-surface media arranged in a tapered radial pleat configuration at 14 pleats per lineal foot. Initial resistance is 0.21 inches WC with a final resistance of 1 inch WC. The frame is a 1-piece die-cut, heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board incorporating post-consumer recycled material. Galvanized expanded metal backing on the air-exit side is laminated with a thermosetting adhesive to maintain pleat continuity and resist rust and corrosion. Rated to 180 degrees F. Made in the USA.
The ZLP18241 suits a wide range of forced-air applications including residential furnaces, air handlers, and geothermal units. At 300 FPM rated airflow, it balances filtration efficiency with manageable static pressure across typical residential and light commercial systems. The MERV 10 rating captures a meaningful portion of fine dust, pollen, mold spores, and lint, making it suitable for environments where indoor air quality standards or LEED compliance requirements apply. HVAC technicians and facility maintenance personnel commonly specify this filter for routine replacement cycles in standard 1-inch filter tracks.
Designed for use in forced-air HVAC systems, air handlers, and geothermal units requiring an 18 inches x 24 inches x 1 inch pleated filter. Applicable standards include UL 900, ANSI/ASHRAE 52.2, USGBC, LEED, HARDI, and NAFA.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the system. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with system airflow before seating the filter in the track. Inspect the filter slot and frame seal on each replacement to avoid bypass air around the filter media.
