The GLASFLOSS ZLP16254 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter built for demanding HVAC applications where filtration efficiency and structural durability are both required. Measuring 16 inches wide by 25 inches tall by 4 inches deep, this filter uses 100% synthetic fiber extended-surface media arranged in a tapered radial pleat configuration at 9 pleats per lineal foot. The media area totals 14.84 square feet, supporting a rated face velocity of 500 FPM with an initial resistance of 0.25 inches WC and a final resistance of 1 inch WC. Licensed HVAC technicians and facilities maintenance professionals install this filter in commercial and residential systems where particulate loading is moderate to high.
This filter is rated for geothermal unit applications and is appropriate for forced-air systems requiring a balance of airflow and filtration performance. The MERV 10 rating captures a broad range of particulates including fine dust, pollen, mold spores, and dust mites, making it well suited for both commercial and residential installations with air quality requirements. The 4-inch depth accommodates media cabinet housings designed for high-capacity filter cartridges. Energy Star rated and manufactured in the USA, the ZLP16254 meets USGBC LEED credit requirements where applicable and qualifies under HARDI and NAFA standards.
Designed for use in geothermal unit applications and other forced-air HVAC systems accepting a 16 x 25 x 4 inch filter cartridge in a standard media cabinet housing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician. Power down the air handling unit at the disconnect before servicing the filter cabinet. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with system airflow before seating the cartridge. Inspect the housing gasket or seal surface for damage that could allow bypass air around the filter frame.
