The GLASFLOSS ZLP16252 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter built for residential and light commercial HVAC applications where reliable particulate capture and low pressure drop matter. Sized at 16 inches x 25 inches x 2 inches, it uses 100% synthetic fiber extended-surface media arranged in a tapered radial pleat configuration at 10 pleats per lineal foot, delivering 7.82 square feet of media area. Initial resistance is 0.3 inches WC with a final resistance of 1 inch WC at a rated face velocity of 500 FPM. The frame is a 1-piece die-cut, heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board made with post-consumer recycled material. A galvanized expanded metal backing is laminated to the air-exit side to maintain pleat geometry and resist rust. This filter is Energy Star rated and manufactured in the USA.
The ZLP16252 is suited for forced-air systems requiring consistent MERV 10 filtration, including geothermal units, gas furnaces, and air handlers in residential and light commercial settings. Its extended-surface pleated media design supports broad application across systems where balancing filtration efficiency against static pressure is a priority. The filter meets or exceeds UL 900, ANSI/ASHRAE 52.2, USGBC LEED, HARDI, and NAFA applicable standards, making it appropriate for projects with documented filtration requirements.
Designed as a direct-fit pleated replacement filter for forced-air HVAC systems, air handlers, and geothermal units requiring a 16 x 25 x 2 inch filter slot with MERV 10 performance.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified service professional. Power down or set the system to the off position before removing the existing filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the system airflow direction before seating. Replace the filter before final resistance reaches 1 inch WC or per the equipment manufacturer's service interval guidance.
