The GLASFLOSS ZLP14251 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter designed for forced-air HVAC systems requiring reliable particulate capture in a standard 1-inch depth format. Sized at 14 x 25 x 1 inches, the filter uses 100% synthetic fiber extended surface media arranged in a tapered radial pleat configuration at 14 pleats per lineal foot. That geometry maximizes media area at 4.13 square feet within the nominal frame size. Airflow resistance measures 0.21 inches WC initial and 1 inch WC final, supporting a rated face velocity of 300 FPM. A galvanized expanded metal backing is laminated to the air-exit side of the media to hold pleat continuity under operating conditions. The frame is a 1-piece die-cut heavy duty moisture-resistant beverage board incorporating post-consumer recycled content. Manufactured in the USA.
The ZLP14251 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC applications where mid-range filtration is needed without excessive static pressure drop. Rated applications include geothermal units as well as standard air handlers and furnaces that accept a 14 x 25 x 1 inch filter. The MERV 10 rating captures a broad range of airborne particles including dust, pollen, mold spores, and fine particulate, making it appropriate for general comfort conditioning and basic indoor air quality improvement. Energy Star rated and compliant with ANSI/ASHRAE 52.2, UL 900, USGBC LEED, HARDI, and NAFA standards.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems accepting a 14 x 25 x 1 inch pleated filter, including geothermal units. Verify nominal filter slot dimensions before installation.
Install and service performed by HVAC technicians following local mechanical codes and ASHRAE guidelines. Power down or shut off the air handler or furnace before removing the existing filter. Insert the filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Do not modify the frame or compress the filter media to fit an undersized slot, as this reduces effective media area and increases bypass leakage.
